This Privacy Policy applies to all apps in our Chinese Classics series, including but not limited to: Caigentan, Tao Te Ching, Analects, The Art of War, I Ching, Zhuangzi, Weilu Yehua, Xiaochuang Youji, The Great Learning, Doctrine of the Mean, Liaofan's Four Lessons, Guwen Guanzhi, Qianjiashi, Shishuo Xinyu, Song Ci, Tang Shi, and Yuan Qu. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using any of these apps, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Email address (optional): for account registration and login
• Profile photo (optional): to personalize your profile
• Nickname (optional): for display within the app

2.2 Information from Third-Party Services

• Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile photo)
• Apple Sign-In: If you sign in with Apple, we receive the user identifier provided by Apple. Apple may share your real or relay email address

2.3 Information Generated Through Use

• Favorites: passages you have bookmarked
• Check-in records: your daily reading check-in data
• Comments: comments you post on passages
• Likes: your like/dislike actions on passages

2.4 Advertising and Device Information

• Some apps display ads via Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect device information and advertising identifiers (such as IDFA / Android Advertising ID). See "Third-Party Services" below.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Providing account registration and authentication
• Saving your preferences and usage records (favorites, check-ins, etc.)
• Displaying your profile (avatar, nickname)
• Delivering core app features (reading, favorites, comments, check-ins)
• Serving and measuring in-app advertising

4. Third-Party Services

These apps may use the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In: for authentication. See Google Privacy Policy
• Apple Sign-In: for authentication. See Apple Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob: for displaying in-app ads. AdMob may collect device information and advertising identifiers to serve, personalize, and measure ads. See Google Ads Policy and Google Privacy Policy
• Azure Text-to-Speech (Microsoft): for generating audio narration of classical text. Text is sent to Microsoft Azure for speech synthesis but is not linked to your personal account. See Microsoft Privacy Statement

Apart from the services listed above, we do not sell or share your personal information with other third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored on our secure servers
• All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS
• Passwords are stored using cryptographic hashing; we cannot view your original password
• We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• You can update your profile information (nickname, avatar) at any time within the app
• You can remove favorites or delete comments at any time
• If you wish to delete your account and all associated data entirely, please contact us using the information below. We will process your request within 30 days

7. Children's Privacy

These apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete the data.
